Albania & Meteora Monastery in 8 Days

Overview

A cultural route across Albania and northern Greece with UNESCO heritage, mountain scenery, and the iconic monasteries of Meteora.

Day 1: Arrival in Tirana

Arrival at Tirana International Airport, transfer to the hotel, and overnight in the Albanian capital.

Day 2: Tirana, Pogradec and Korca

Drive toward Lake Ohrid, continue to Korca, and enjoy a panoramic introduction to one of southeastern Albania’s most elegant cultural towns.

Day 3: Korca, Kastoria and Meteora

Cross into Greece, stop in lakeside Kastoria, and continue to Meteora to visit the spectacular UNESCO-listed monasteries.

Day 4: Kalambaka, Metsovo and Ioannina

Travel through the mountain landscapes of Epirus, visit traditional Metsovo, and continue to Ioannina for lakeside sightseeing.

Day 5: Ioannina, Gjirokaster, Butrint and Saranda

Return to Albania to explore Gjirokaster and Butrint before ending the day on the southern coast in Saranda.

Day 6: Saranda, Porto Palermo, Ardenitsa and Berat

Follow the Albanian Riviera northward, stop at Porto Palermo and Ardenitsa Monastery, and arrive in UNESCO-listed Berat.

Day 7: Berat, Kruja and Tirana

Visit Berat castle and its historic quarters, continue to Kruja for the old bazaar and Skanderbeg heritage, then return to Tirana.

Day 8: Departure

Breakfast, airport transfer, and end of services.
